HIMMEL is a copywriting and verbal branding studio that makes brands and businesses stronger through language and storytelling. Our approach is grounded in the belief that copywriting and tone of voice should be more than just an afterthought – that the impact of many words, or just the right one, can transform the ordinary into something unique and compelling.
With longstanding backgrounds in advertising, branding and editorial, we combine traditional publishing know-how with modern content skills to craft authentic stories and narratives. We value the importance of good writing and the many ways it can create a dialogue between writer and reader. We enjoy working with those who feel the same way.

Founded in 2021 by writer and author Alana Wulff.
With 16 years of writing experience, Alana leads a practice that transforms how brands communicate, creating narratives that resonate deeply and drive genuine connection.
Throughout her career, she has worked within the publishing, advertising and branding spaces for as a copy director, journalist, and author. Her solid knowledge of copy-based brand building coupled with her passion for storytelling ensures each project is filled with equal parts creative and strategic ambition.
Before creating HIMMEL, Alana worked in-house for a range of agencies, where she penned copy for brands including Westfield, Absolut, Two Good Co, SKII, Hilton Hotels, QT Hotels, Coca-Cola Amatil, Nestlé, Australian Hearing, NOVA and more. Her publishing experience includes full-time and freelance roles at Fairfax, News Corp, Pacific Magazines, Bauer Media, Foxtel, Nine Media, Junkee, and Vice Media Group.
Under Alana's creative direction, HIMMEL has become the go-to destination for brands seeking distinctive, sophisticated voices. Her editorial work continues to grace publications like VOGUE Living, The New York Times, and The Sydney Morning Herald, while she shapes the next generation of writers as a casual academic at UNSW.
Through her extensive industry knowledge and contacts, Alana works closely with a range of highly-experienced copywriters, writers and editors at HIMMEL each day.
